Being part of a team culture is essential in shaping the people we become; especially at a young age. We believe every child should have the opportunity to find and chase their passion. Therefore, we’ve established scholarship funds for young men and women to participate in after-school programs, athletic teams, and more!
Act of Kindness:
The recipients of the scholarships will be asked to partake in acts of kindness. They will be asked to perform at least one act of kindness. As these young men and women perform these acts of service their character will grow into one of selflessness, generosity, humility, and intentionality.
Some examples could include:
- Writing a thank you note to a teacher, pastor, friend, parent, etc
- Raking leaves, shoveling snow, or pulling weeds for a neighbor’s yard
- Sitting by someone who is alone at lunch
- Helping carry groceries to someone’s car
If possible, we ask them to capture these acts with a picture or video so we can share them on our social media platforms. By doing this we hope to show by doing something good for someone it can ripple throughout a city. We want Kearney to be full of men and women of action helping to accomplish our mission of building a better tomorrow, one act of kindness at a time.
